International Noise Awareness Day

International Noise Awareness Day

Today we celebrate the 30th Annual International Awareness Day.

Noise is a health issue that affects human community. According to Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC), noise is among the leading causes of hearing loss (moderate to severe), which face 466 million people around the world. WHO estimates that exposure to noise in recreational areas puts 1.1 billion young persons (12-35 years of age) at risk of hearing loss.

Noise negatively impacts mental health, learning, cognitive function, cardiovascular diseases, and gastrointestinal changes. Noise also deteriorates quality of life in terms of stress, sleep disturbance and disruption of daily activities.

To improve your health and have a high quality of life, say YES to quiet!
